Lee's foals never fail to grow up to be huge  (all have matured at 15-2 to 16-1hh) and it sure looks like Autumn is going to be just like the rest of her family.  In the pasture, it is almost impossible to tell Autumn from the 3 year olds.  She is already taller than most of them!

Autumn is my last Josh baby, as I lost him the winter after she was born.  I would have liked to do that cross again, but it was not to be.   And what an interesting color combination of Lee  (a chocolate chestnut with flaxen mane and tail) to Josh (dappled golden palomino, silver mane and tail).   Well, Autumn got some chocolate from her dam; and the dapples, and silver mane and tail from her sire.   Last fall she shed out her golden foal coat to a deep, dappled chocolate palomino.  This summer she lightened up again, except for her face which remains dark - so I suspect she'll end up a nice chocolaty palomino.   And that silver mane - it is a stunning contrast!
